Welcome to
Faubai 2021 Virtual Conference

On behalf of the Brazilian Association for International Education – FAUBAI, I am pleased to welcome all participants to an innovative FAUBAI 2021 Virtual Conference.

This year, when we still cannot meet face to-face, the FAUBAI 2021 Virtual Conference has decided to concentrate its activities on moments of collective reflections, new issues and paradigm shifts in the internationalization of higher education and the possibilities of new approaches and institutional actions.

Understanding the particularity of this moment in which we can not travel and need to share several agendas and commitments, the FAUBAI 2021 Virtual Conference has been conceived in an innovative format.

The general theme “Expanding our minds” aims at presenting a reflective look at two concepts associated withthe internationalization of higher education: the Journey and the Belonging. It is structured over three weeks, two days a week (Tuesday and Thursday), in three sections.
