Call for Contributions

The Brazilian Association for International Education – FAUBAI is pleased to announce the FAUBAI 2023 Conference (34th Annual Edition), to be held from April 15 to 19, 2023. The general theme is Building knowledge with all voices.

 

The FAUBAI Annual conference is the largest and oldest event in Latin America dedicated to the internationalization of higher education. It brings together more than 600 participants from all around the world every year.

 

FAUBAI invites submissions of high-quality, new and original contributions related to the internationalization of higher education and the management of international offices, covered by the following topics:

 

– Inclusion, Equity and Diversity

– International Outreach & Social Projects

– Interculturality

– Strategic Cooperation

– Cooperation in Latin America

– Cooperation with a specific country

– Networks and International Associations

– International Projects

– National Policies of Internationalization

– Management of International Office

– Internationalization at Home & Internationalization of Curriculum

– Mobility of student/teacher / researcher, staff

– COIL & Virtual Exchange

– Credit/Qualification Recognition

– Internationalization of Research

– Rankings and Indicators

– Language Policy

– Foreign Language as a Medium of Education

– Internationalization in Portuguese/Spanish

 

The proposal can be submitted to one of the two following formats:

 

Concurrent session: Contributions submitted to this modality will have 25 minutes for presentation in a concurrent session. There is no limit to the number of coauthors. If the contribution is selected, only one author should be designated to present it in person. This author must be identified as the “contact author” in the submission form. Proposals should be written to share an in-depth analysis or a project involving multiple partners.

 

Round Table: Proposals should include 3 to 4 participants who will debate among themselves and with the audience.

 

The proposals must be submitted online to a digital form (see below for the URL) as:

 

– An extended abstract of up to 500 words.

– A description of the intended audience.

– The intended outcomes and key take-away points for the audience.

– A short description of the expertise of the authors.

 

The languages can be English, Portuguese or Spanish. During the submission process, the intended language has to be specified.

 

The contributors need to submit the extended abstract. No extended written article is required.

Important Dates

– (CLOSED) Deadline for the submission of proposals: January 20th, 2023, 23:59 BRT

– Author notification: February 10th, 2023

– Deadline for Early bird registration: February 27st, 2023

 

Conference Venue

The Conference will take place at the Minascentro Convention Center, at Av. Augusto de Lima, 785 – Centro, Belo Horizonte – MG, 30190-001.
