Session Submission
The Brazilian Association for International Education – FAUBAI is pleased to announce the FAUBAI 2022 Conference (34th Annual Edition), to be held virtually from April 25 to 27, 2022. The general theme is “Known concepts, new meanings”.
The FAUBAI Annual conference is the largest and oldest event in Latin America dedicated to the internationalization of higher education. It gathers each year more than 600 participants from all around the world.
We invite submissions of high-quality, novel and original contributions in areas related to the internationalization of higher education and the management of international offices.

Short presentation: Contributions submitted to this track will have a 10-minutes slot for presentation, focused on good practices experienced. The sessions of short presentations will aim peer-to-peer exchanges among the speakers.
Long presentation: Contributions submitted to this track will have 25 minutes slot for presentation. Proposals must present a deep analysis or more complex project related to one of the topics listed above.
- Sharing best practices. Proposals should intend to explain to the public how routines related to one of the above topics enable efficient management of the issue. The best practices should interest both local, national and international professionals.
- Promoting given international initiatives (e.g., a project in a consortium). Proposals should not have any commercial intent (“promotion” doesn’t mean “advertisement”).
- An academic-oriented analysis. The prime objective of the event is not research, but we understand that the professionals engaged in internationalization of the higher education are interested in an in-depth, scientific analysis of the phenomena that frame their practices.
The proposals must be fully submitted online via a digital submission form (see below for the link):
- An extended abstract of up to 500 words;
- A description of the intended audience;
- The intended outcomes and key take-away for the audience;
- A short description of the expertise of the authors.
The contributors only need to submit the extended abstract; no extended written article is required.
The selected contributions will be presented at the conference by one the coauthors, who must be identified as the “contact author” in the digital submission form. Presenters must be registered at the conference.

All submitted proposals will be peer-reviewed.
Authors of accepted proposals will have to sign a copyright form, and a document acknowledgement that the contribution will be presented, recorded, and transmitted online.
