TOMORROW: Global Perspectives for IHE – Maria Leonor Maia – FAUBAI – UFPE

The FAUBAI – Brazilian Association for International Education – launches, on the week of April 27th to 29th, the initiative TOMORROW: Global Perspectives for Higher Education Internationalization, to commemorate the FAUBAI 2020 Conference dates.

Intending to offer reflections on the challenges of Higher Education internationalization in these changing and complex times, TOMORROW gathers brief expert statements from around the world about the current and future contexts.

MARIA LEONOR ALVES MAIA | Maria Leonor Alves Maia is the dean of international affairs at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE), in Brazil, since 2012. As senior international officer, she is responsible for all international programs and activities at UFPE, which includes strategic planning, exchange programs and agreements with HEIs in other countries. Maria Leonor has also promoted the “internationalization at home” process at UFPE, bringing the Collaborative Online International Learning initiative to the university through the BRAVE Program, which she coordinates. Since 2018, she acts as the president of FAUBAI (Brazilian Association for International Education).
