For more than a hundred years now, the Federal Institute of Piauí (IFPI) has been a benchmark of
excellence for education in the state of Piauí. Based on a unique and constantly updated model of education that fits the reality of individual psycho-pedagogical learning and the new demands of the labor market, IFPI offers continuing education, integrating basic, technical and technological/higher education within the same academic environment.
Willing to provide continuing education, the institute also encourages research, innovation and post-graduation, offering scholarships for undergraduate students interested in scientific research, as well as qualifying its faculty members through specialization, master’s and doctorate programs. Thus, IFPI is an educational institution that fosters the development of technical and technological expertise, extending its benefits to the community of Piauí through outreach programs that are carried out by professors and students.
Currently, IFPI has 17 campuses structured in 15 cities around the state. The institution offers
technical integrated courses, technology and teacher training programs, one bachelor’s degree
and one master’s.
Along with the academic, research and outreach community activities, the Federal Institute of Piauí
is also committed with Global Education, stimulating its process of internationalization through the engagement of students and faculty members in academic mobility programs such as Science Without Borders (Brazilian Scientific Mobility Program) and through partnerships with universities from all over the world.
